Publications

Neighbours & the Law

Writing of the fifth edition of Neighbours & the Law, by John Pugh-Smith (Chambers door tenant), Graham Sinclair and William Upton, is now under way.  The authors hope that their new, much revised and restructured text will be ready for publication in mid-2009.

Meanwhile, the free November 2007 supplement to the fourth edition remains available on this website in two formats.  The HTML version comes complete with links to such of the original source material as is freely available elsewhere.  There is also a PDF version (which may be downloaded, and printed if desired) complete with full tables of cases, statutes, etc

Useful web sites

http://www.statutelaw.gov.uk - The much-awaited Statute Law Database was finally launched in December 2006.  Unlike the OPSI site this shows the current status of legislation, with existing and prospective amendments.

http://www.lawreports.co.uk - For summaries of key cases within 24 hours of judgment just click on the link above. This website provides access to the Daily Law Notes summaries of cases that may be reported in:

  • The Weekly Law Reports
  • Industrial Case Reports
  • The Law Reports

Department of Constitutional Affairs: useful links - Although the former DCA has now largely been subsumed within the Ministry of Justice this particular site, which has been preserved, helpfully collates a wide range of government, constitutional, legal and international sites, including those providing free access to case and statute law throughout the British Isles and institutions of the European Union.
