EAC member appears before Supreme Court

Cherie Parnell, a chambers family practitioner, has appeared in one of the first cases to be heard by the new Supreme Court of the United Kingdom.  In re B (a child) [2009] UKSC 5, which concerned the application of the welfare test under s.1 of the Children Act 1989 to a case involving a residence dispute between the father and the maternal grandmother, was heard on 14th October 2009 and judgment handed down on 19th November 2009.
