BA (History) (Bristol); LL B (College of Law)
Having trained for the Bar at The College of Law, Andrew joined chambers following successful completion of pupillage in September 2011. As a junior member of chambers he accepts instructions in all areas of chambers’ practice, with a particular interest in civil matters – including contract, property and trusts (including ToLATA applications). Accordingly, Andrew appears in the County Court each week in a range of civil matters. He is also regularly instructed to prosecute (both for the CPS and privately for local authorities) and defend in the Magistrates’ Court, whilst appearing frequently in the Crown Court for applications, preliminary hearings and probation breaches.
Prior to coming to the Bar Andrew read history at the University of Bristol before qualifying as a teacher at the University of Warwick. He taught history and politics at a large comprehensive school in East London for two years and remains actively involved in the education sector.
