John Brooke-Smith LL B (Exon)

John Brooke-Smith started his career in London and moved to East Anglian Chambers in 1988.  He has a general civil, common law background, now specialising in all aspects of:

• family law
• personal injury
• yacht/marine litigation.  

According to the most recent edition of Legal 500 he "is recommended for medium to high-value instructions in his claimant practice".

In 1998, he was appointed an Assistant Recorder (now Recorder) on the South Eastern Circuit, where he sits in both the Crown and County Courts, trying cases in crime, civil and family (private and public law).
