Specialist Teams: Crime

We act across the range of criminal matters, both for the defence and prosecution. The breadth of call and depth of experience of team members enables us to offer tenants who can lead in 2-counsel cases as well as being briefed alone. We are a preferred set for the CPS in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.  A number of team members are on the Attorney's lists for Government Departmental prosecutions (HM Customs, DWP, DTI and HSE).

Frequent seizures of contraband at Felixstowe and Harwich ports have honed our skills in the concise presentation and testing of smuggling charges. Through the presence in this region of Colchester military Garrison and other military bases we have an extensive knowledge of Army/RAF law and courts martial procedure.

We can also offer specialists in the following fields:

• public interest immunity and third party disclosure
• trading standards (inc. animal welfare)
